I have a feeling that this year will actually be my year. Last January, I had the opportunity to go to Macau due to Philam Life. Last February, I went to Batanes with my parents and my mom’s friends. Last April, I went to Cambodia with my parents and my aunt (dad’s sister) and uncle. This May, JAPAN with the parentals plus dad’s Japanese and Korean friends.
The trip to Japan was unexpected. I was informed a few weeks ago before our flight regarding our Japan trip. I felt so excited and happy to actually land in The Land of the Rising Sun. It is all because of dad’s Japanese friends our trip to Japan pushed through.
On May 25, 2015, we left Manila around 7:20am via Japan Airlines in NAIA Terminal 1. In order not to miss our flight, we left the house around 5am. Traffic in EDSA is HELL when 6am approaches and it is better to be early so that everything can go smoothly.
It was my first time to ride Japan Airlines (JAL) and they did not disappoint ! On the way to Japan, we took the Economy Class and I was in awe when I saw small screen tv’s on each chair for each person. There was even a remote per tv. You have the option to choose what movies or music you would actually want to watch or listen. The best part of the TV is that you get to see a Birds EyeView of what’s currently happening outside of the plane ! Interesting right? Another thing I love about Japan Airlines is that the flight stewardess are accommodating and they smile all the time. They also gave out refills for what drink you would want.
After 4 hours of sitting down in the plane, finally, we arrived Japan! Once we landed Japan, dad’s Japanese friends brought us directly to Mt. Fuji where we would actually stay for 3 days and 2 nights.
I tested out mom’s new Fujifilm camera. I am loving the quality!

What we basically ordered. It’s a lot but super worth it!
After our hearty and heavy dinner, we then decided to go to the hotel and take a rest to prepare for the long day the next day. The hotel we stayed at was spacious – there were two rooms and there were two single beds in each room. We even had a nice view from our balcony. We did not even need aircon because when night time comes, it tends to get cold. I would have to estimate the temperature reaches around 15-19 degrees, just like in Baguio.
