This is the day where I consider it to be our first day since we did a lot of sightseeing and went to tourist attractions.
For our first destination in our itinerary, Mr. Kitamura (one of our hosts) brought us to Fujikachoen Bird Park. Fujikachoen is 8000 square meters big and consists mainly of different kinds of plants, flowers, and animals. If you have not seen an owl nor a penguin, then this is the place to be ! You have to take note that you have to respect and follow the rules of the park. If you want to view the English website, please click here. If you want the Japanese website, please click here.

For the second destination, we unexpectedly passed by Fuji Shizabakura Festival. The Fuji Shibazakura Festival is a famous festival known for its shibazakura (pink moss or phlox moss). This festival is usually held every April til early June. It is best to go to this area around April til mid May. Since we went here on the last week of May, we were not able to see much pink moss on the ground. It could have been so beautiful to see the shibazakura with Mt. Fuji at the background.
For the third destination, we went to Narusawa Ice Cave. Narusawa Ice Cave is a type of cave wherein you can actually see ice and ice sculptures inside. It is very cold inside and one must be careful because it is slippery inside. Make sure when one plans to visit this cave, they should wear the proper attire to feel comfortable.
0 degrees inside the cave. Crazy of me?
The last destination we went to for the day was Kawaguchiko Music Forest. Kawaguchiko Music Forest is not your typical museum. It’s a music museum wherein you can enjoy the different music and different instruments that will be shown to you. Get ready to hear and learn interesting facts about music!
