It's been a long time since I last made a blog post. To tell you, I do miss it. I miss the feeling of tasting different kinds of dishes, taking photos not just for the 'gram but also to practice my photography skills, and to share my experiences to other people.
Yesterday (June 20), despite the whole world still experiencing a pandemic, I had the opportunity to get out of the house to do important errands. I was supposed to go to Ortigas in regards to my work. I was supposed to go to the head office of the company that I was working in for personal matters. But sadly, I wasn't able to push through since I arrived Ortigas area quite late already.
I decided to go to The Common Market - a known food hall located in Podium. Here in The Common Market, they offer various foods that can surely satisfy one's palate. Since I've tried Easy Tiger before, I decided to try something else for a change. I decided to try out Birdhouse Fried Chicken.
Birdhouse Fried Chicken is a small stall in The Common Market that offers, as usal, chicken! I ordered their Barnyard B Set Meal - one piece chicken, 2 side dishes, one sauce.

What I love about Birdhouse is the skin of the chicken. If you're a skin lover, I highly suggest you set this aside.
One of their side dishes is the Mac n Cheese. I hope they make this cheesier in the future.
Despite them being a small stall, it surely captured my eye due to the design and aesthetics of the brand. Plus points because it felt homey!
I was able to meet one of their managers namely Jam. Thanks for introducing Birdhouse Fried Chicken to me and had a great chat with ya!
One negative thing I noticed about Birdhouse is on the way it was cooked. I noticed there was still blood that's why I called the manager's attention right away. Good thing he was able to accommodate my request right away.
Price of the set meal is not so bad. The Barnyard B Set Meal costs 180php, if I'm not mistaken.
If I were to rate my whole experience, it would have to be a 3.5/5.
I gotta go back though to try out their other dishes! If given the chance to go back to Podium, I might as well create a post on The Common Market itself!
